Create a bootable USB startup disk on Linux
Most internet guides that mention Linux and USB thumbdrives refer to creating a bootable Linux drive on Windows (hence their recommendation for Windows-only tools, like Rufus). However, if you're on a Linux system and want to create a bootable USB drive, the easiest tool is Startup Disk Creator:
sudo apt install usb-creator-gtk
