Best Linux CD ripper

 

There are a lot of Linux-based apps to rip a CD out there but my favorite is rarely mentioned but hidden in plain sight: Rythmbox, the default music player on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Fedora. Full instructions can be found here. To install:

sudo apt install -y rhythmbox libgstreamer1.0-0 gstreamer1.0-plugins-base gstreamer1.0-plugins-good gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly gstreamer1.0-libav gstreamer1.0-tools gstreamer1.0-x gstreamer1.0-alsa gstreamer1.0-gl gstreamer1.0-gtk3 gstreamer1.0-qt5 gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio && sudo apt purge -y fcitx-module-dbus

Note: the latter command is due to this bug.
