Sorry Google, Play (Store) time is over

Google Play Store has a long history of privacy issues and malicious apps so I finally decided to do something about it.

The first (and biggest) step is removing Google Apps. Fortunately, since I'm already using and loving LineageOS, this is easily done with microG.

The next step is to find an alternate app store. MicroG comes with F-Droid by default but the interface is clunky and the app selection is limited. After testing a number of alternatives I decided to go with Aptoide. The official app has ads which is lame so I recommend you install the mod by V.R (scroll to the bottom of this page).

With Aptoide, you can search and install the majority of apps you need.
